My Blog Has a New Home! Welcome Back to the Leader’s Notebook… on Substack!
I have not been blogging for almost 9 months. While I have continued writing a monthly column for Arkansas Business, I have been in the process of redesigning my writing, work, and some of life-in-general. I will share more about that- but for today some logistics.
I have moved my blog to Substack. If you are not familiar with Substack I will be excited to know that I have introduced you to it. For now, all you need to know is that it is a new platform designed for writers- and boy are there some terrific writers there. Some you may know (I follow David Whyte, Alicia Rodriguez, Mardy Grothe and Steven Pressfield). And, I encourage you to nose around. There is interesting and provocative reading on the platform.
Part of the mechanics of the move is managing the email list- and it turns out my old list manager did a poor job of managing cancellations. So, if you were one of the few folks who opted out- then my apologies. You will see a link on Substack to unsubscribe again should you want to do so.
For those who want to stick around- there are many projects in the works- and you will hear about them soon. Please forgive any technical issues while I get the new site settled. Also- a few things to know about Substack as a reader:
Do explore the writers’ pages here. There are authors you know and some you will be glad you discovered.
You will see that many authors have paid options. I know- it is heretical for a writer to ask to get paid- but we are an ornery lot. Many offer content and experiences at multiple levels. You may well find tools, writing, and other resources that are behind that paywall. And, if they are offered by an author, expert, or other resource whose work you admire, you will find experiences with them not available anywhere else.
The site is a little chaotic- sort of the Wild West of publishing. But if you are a reader- you will likely be hooked in very short order.
I will get my site settled and begin publishing on Life and Leadership here in the coming weeks. I can see so many possibilities here. If nothing else, I encourage you to poke around on Substack. You will be surprised at the depth of writing and writers here.
